Here to help

We support you to deal with any problems you or your child may be having in school

Advocacy and Support when you need it the most.

ACAP’s Parents Advocacy and support has been assisting parents, children and families with concerns regarding education for over 20 years. Our Advocacy support service is made up of people who have a wide range of experience in the areas of schooling, advocacy, education and related topics.

The Directors of ACAP have a collective experience of over fifty years. The goals of ACAP Advocacy and Support service is to create opportunities for parents, teachers and other agencies can work together to share information and resources in order to work in greater harmony on behalf of the children.

ACAP informs parents who have issues with schools about how they can use community services like ours to help them in direct and meaningful ways, on behalf of their children, so as to increase their sense of empowerment and reduce their feelings of isolation and frustration. The ways we support parents are:
.

Access information and advice

Explore school choices and options

Defend and promote you and your child's rights

Be more involved in your child's education

Get to understand how schools work

Help with representation at school meetings

Don’t suffer in silence and let things slip out of control, we can support you to make good choices.

If you are having problems, if your child is on the point of exclusion or already excluded from school, we can help. We act as a bridge between the school and you and help you to work with the school so that you can achieve the best outcome for your child. We cover a range of issues that parents face, contact us for more information

Your support will help us to purchase essential educational resources and equipment we need to change children’s lives. Please tweet, share, or donate to help us in our mission to raise the educational attainment of children and improve the work that we do with parents
