Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of volunteering opportunities do you offer?

We have a variety of opportunities for people, both young and old to get involved, With everything from mentoring, to administration, DIY to sports development, we have something for almost everyone to get involved in.

Can I take on multiple volunteering roles?

Yes you could be spending a couple of hours in one department and a couple of hours in another.  We try to be as flexi8ble as possible so that your volunteering experience suits what you want to learna and develop.

Will I get my costs covered?

Yes you will. All volunteers receive reimbursements for lunch and also full travel expenses.   We do not believe that anyone should be out of pocket when doing good work in the community.

Will I get access to training?

Yes you will. Dependent upon the volunteering role, a training and development plan will be put together so that you develop your skills alongside your role as a volunteer.

How long will I be expected to volunteer?

We only accept volunteers who can commit to a minimum of six weeks. This is because we need to ensure you have access to training which does take time. You can normally expect to volunteer for a total of one to eight hours a week.
