Angela was born to Grenadian parents of the Windrush generation. She studied Law at the University of Wolverhampton and has otherwise always resided in Huddersfield. 

Angela has committed many years volunteering to deliver and co-ordinate dance and drama projects as well as cultural events for children and young people within the community of Huddersfield.  Angela has also supported groups and individuals of the Windrush generation to story tell and re-enact their experiences through dance and drama performances for local concerts. 

Through ACAP, Angela has completed the 4 year Black Studies course with the leading Black History educational specialist, Robin Walker and has used her knowledge to influence her role as a trainer, delivering courses on diversity and assertiveness to new police recruits and has been a long standing member of the Black Police Association.
