It’s never too early to learn about economics. Buying and selling is an important activity at ACAP with the tuck shop.
Every day the young people have to chose a ‘Project Manager’ to lead the tuck shop activity. They then learn how to buy and sell products (all picked by them of course) pick their teams, distribute their products appropriately and also how to make sure that they make a profit. Competition for management roles is fierce as everyone wants to be the ‘Project Manager’. The Apprentice has got a lot to answer for in our opinion.
This activity is great for nurturing an entrepreneurial mindset in young people.
