Holiday and Playscheme Activities
During half terms and the summer break, ACAP offers Playscheme services to young people aged 8 years an upwards. We usually theme our activitiees and have held a viarety of different themes including ‘Fair Trade, Conservation & The Environment’. Young people are able to engage in creative learning activities for four weeks and get to take part in sports activities, workshops, trips to historical and interesting places and other visits to places of social and cultural historical importance.
Our half term scheme centres on ‘African History’ as October is the official time for Black History Month. Young people can take part in a variety of cultural activities to celebrate this historic month and also take part in arts and crafts, drama, T-Shirt design, fashion shows and the ‘ACAP Factor’ which is our version of the X Factor.

Evaluations from parents and young people shows that our holiday schemes are very much enjoyed by all young people involved. If you would like to book on our next holiday scheme / club and reserve a place for your child(ren), contact the ACAP team on 01274 720254. ACAP provides this service because of the good will of local volunteers.
