It is now official. Junior Witter, the pro boxer from Bradford and former WBC, European, British, and commonwealth light welterweight champion is now the Patron of ACAP. The event to celebrate this was held at ACAP on Friday 28th March.
Lots of people and press in attendance and the event was great with keynote speeches by some of our young people who have benefited from the work of ACAP, our Chairman Nigel Skinner and Junior Witter himself.
With music by Sound Travels Music Workshops (a favourite of the kids) and lovely food, it was a good experience for all. It was wonderful to hear positive words coming from one of Bradford’s finest. The event was covered by the Telegraph & Argus. You can read the articles that appeared in the newspaper by clicking here and here.
Junior should prove to be a good role model for young people in Bradford. Watch this space for announcements of what Junior and ACAP have planned for the future.
