We also work largely with the Flooring Trade and have done for 30 years. We work with Pattern Book Makers to supply the print for items such as Vinyl flooring, Carpet samples and Flooring display merchandise.

We hold over 30 years of experience and have several departments, all within our own 11,000Sq feet of offices and warehouses.

We are a small friendly business established in 1990 with approximately 11 members of staff, together we work closely as a team to ensure customers receive their orders within their deadlines, we go above and beyond for customer satisfaction and to make sure the finished product is to the best standard it can be.

In 1982 a group of friends decided there was a need in the community, to try and source foodstuff from their native Caribbean islands. With frequent trips down to London and Birmingham and returning to the North of the UK with freshly imported goods, the beginnings of what the business is today was starting to be formed.

They began to retail from outdoor market stalls in Huddersfield, Dewsbury, and Leeds. Over the years as the business grew and the stalls allocated were not big enough to hold the growing variety of items, the business needed a more permanent and bigger outlet.

In 2010 and now under sole ownership, Mackinleys was opened, a town centre location with three floors of Caribbean, African, and other globally sourced fruits, vegetables, seasonings and spices. The product range also includes frozen poultry, fish and meats so customers can purchase a wide variety of items all under one roof.

With a wealth of knowledge and a family-owned business culture, Mackinley’s can ensure the best quality products on offer with friendly and helpful staff who can offer advice and information on the products available.
