Volunteer with us and gain essential skills whilst giving something back.

Volunteers are at the heart of everything that we do at ACAP.

Since 1995 we have relied upon the generous contribution made by dedicated voluneers from the local community. We do not have any paid staff and receive very little in the form of funding.

Becoming an ACAP volunteer will give you the opportunity to expand upon your skills as you learn new things. You will gain essential experience which could imjprove your chances of getting a job or promotion. The benefits of volunteering with us are:

Make a difference in your own community

Be part of the SOLUTION not the problem

Build your confidence as you learn new skills

Meet new people and make new friends

Contribute towards your community's plans

Be part of a community and make your mark!

Gain valuable experience and boost your employment options.

Volunteering really is a pathway to employment. Learning on the job and getting experience in a variety of areas will look great on your CV. The majority of our volunteers move on to paid employment in their chosen fields. You may already be in your ideal job and feel you just want to volunteer to give back, we would love to hear how your current skills could improve the work that we do.

We have a variety of volunterring opportunities available spanning over the whole of our organisation (see below), from admin to mentoring, DIY to research, you name it, we have got a volunteering opportunity to match what you want to do. Most volunteering sessions last between 2-4 hours and some of them can be done fron the office and from hyome.  If you want to discuss any of our volunteering opportunities further, get in touch today.
