We Have Worked In Most Bradford Prinmary and Secondary Schools.

ACAP has worked with a large amount of schools in Bradford. The following list, although not exhaustive, gives you an indicaton as to our reach in the local schools community. Over the years, we have worked with the schools listed below to deliver a series of Alternative Curriculum Projects, Character Development Training, Youth Transitional Programmes, African History Workshops, Homework Support, Mentoring & NEET Programmes.

Some young people are affected by a number of factors that can sometimes lead to them not achieving their best at school. At ACAP, we work with young people to help them to do better academically. Our mentoring and school based services provide a powerful opportunity to improve students’ learning outcomes through the introduction of culturally appropriate programmes and activities that support classroom learning.

Our programmes have been delivered in a number of schools and at our education centre.

We have partnered with and have had the support of a variety of schools in Bradford and Leeds in order to achieve our aims, these are:

Immanuel College, Carlton Bolling College, Laisterdyke, Thornton Grammar School, Tong High School, Clayton C of E Primary School, Newhall Park Primary School, St Matthews Primary School, St Joseph’s R C Primary School, Lidget Green Primary, Ryecroft Primary School, Bradford Cathedral College, Beckfoot School, St Bedes, Rhodesway, Buttershaw, Yorkshire Martyrs, St Joseph’s College, Salts Grammar School, St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, Bracken Hill Primary School and a wide variety of others.

Volunteer Mentor / Coach

The mentor serves as a caring adult in a young persons’ life. You will provide one to one (and group) support and encouragement to young people who come into contact with ACAP and feel they would benefit from the input of a mentor.

Volunteer Youth Worker

Our aim is to make a positive difference to the lives of young people.  We are looking for an experienced and confident practitioner who has worked directly with young people. We require someone who is open, friendly and approachable, who has good ideas for developing youth services at ACAP.

Volunteer Support Worker

We are looking for volunteers who are passionate in supporting young people to learn and prepare for the future. This may include practical skills, like cooking, cleaning and budgeting to supporting young people to manage their anxieties or social difficulties.

Volunteer Sports Activities Coordinator

To ensure the effective coordination of sport, in particular the development of a series of new sports activities at ACAP. You will be responsible for providing support for the provision, development & monitoring of these new activities.

Volunteer Social Media Coordinator

We're looking for a Social Media volunteer to promote, develop and maintain our online presence. You’ll contribute to our website, Facebook and twitter feed and help us develop our presence on other social media channels.

Volunteer PR / Media Officer

In this role you will use all forms of media and communication to build, maintain and manage the reputation of ACAP. These range from public bodies or services, to businesses and voluntary organisations.

Volunteer Film Maker / Videographer

We are looking for a Volunteer Film Maker / Videographer to join our team who will work filming activities at some of our key events and for some of our projects. We are aiming to build up our database of films to promote our charitable objectives and raise awareness of our work.
